Accountability: Take ownership as the principal advocate for your well-being.

Assuming responsibility for your health and overall well-being is of paramount importance, and this journey begins today with your proactive engagement in making informed decisions and adopting actions that directly influence your wellness. Solely relying on healthcare providers or expecting immediate solutions through medications will not yield sustainable outcomes. A steadfast commitment to a structured weight management program is essential, as a lack of dedication may impede your progress. By embracing this accountability, you position yourself to take meaningful control of your health journey with confidence and purpose.
If you are not prepared to fully commit to making the necessary changes, we respectfully advise that this program may not be the appropriate fit for you.
Conditions Associated with Weight Variability
The Importance of Effective Weight Management for Maintaining Optimal Health:
Obesity is a major contributing factor to the heightened risk of developing chronic medical conditions. Excess body weight, particularly in the form of abdominal obesity, is closely linked to a range of cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension, elevated cholesterol levels, and type 2 diabetes. While obesity itself is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease, the presence of these associated conditions significantly amplifies the overall risk.
Additionally, certain medical conditions, such as thyroid disorders, lupus, and pulmonary diseases, can also influence body weight.
At Dr. Mary’s Coaching, we take a personalized approach to health and wellness, tailoring each plan to meet the unique needs of every individual, ensuring the best possible outcomes on your journey toward improved health.

Diabetes and Weight Management:
An increased Body Mass Index (BMI) is frequently associated with elevated levels of HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin), indicating a greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Excessive body weight, especially in the form of adipose tissue, significantly contributes to the development of insulin resistance—a condition in which the body's cells exhibit a reduced sensitivity to insulin. As a compensatory mechanism, the pancreas may produce higher levels of insulin, leading to increased blood glucose concentrations and, consequently, elevated HbA1c levels.
Dr. Mary's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) project achieved notable success by tailoring individualized care plans for participants, which effectively resulted in both BMI and HbA1c reductions.
